What Open Finance is and how Finora uses it
Open Finance is Brazil’s Central Bank-regulated system in which a customer authorizes institutions to share financial data through APIs. Finora, an MSphere product still coming soon, uses that model to turn account data into metrics and insights.
What Open Finance is
Instead of each bank keeping data only internally, the customer can consent to another authorized institution accessing account, transaction and product information. Consent is specific, time-bound and revocable. It is not the bank “giving data away”: it is the holder authorizing use.
What it is for in practice
With data from more than one institution, you can see accounts together, standardize spending categories and fire alerts. That is the opposite of exporting CSV and pasting into a spreadsheet every month.
Finora’s role
Finora connects to Open Finance to analyze personal or business accounts and return charts, metrics, insights and alerts. It is not a bank. It is coming soon; this page does not list a launch date.
Privacy
Access depends on consent. MSphere processes data in compliance with LGPD and does not fine-tune on customer data.
Frequently asked questions
In Brazil, Open Banking was the first stage (banking data). Open Finance widens the scope to other financial data, always with consent. Finora is positioned in that broader model.
